Alle Menschen sind gleich 

650.000 Mitbürgerinnen und Mitbürger, die hier leben und arbeiten, die Steuern zahlen und den Reichtum dieses Landes mitgeschaffen haben, sind fast aller politischen und sozialen Rechte beraubt. Weil sie keine Österreicher und keine EU-Bürger sind. Vor allem fehlt ihnen das wichtigste Grundrecht, ohne das Demokratie nicht möglich ist: das Wahlrecht.

Asyl in Not, SOS-Mitmensch und viele andere fordern daher eine Verfassungsreform. Artikel 7 der Bundesverfassung (der bisher nur die Gleichheit der Staatsbürger vor dem Gesetz vorsieht) soll lauten:

"Alle Menschen, die in Österreich leben, sind vor dem Gesetz gleich."

Wir fordern das allgemeine freie und gleiche Wahlrecht - von den Kommunal- bis zu den Parlamentswahlen - für alle Menschen in diesem Land.

Wir fordern: Weg mit der Schubhaft! Sicheren Zugang zu Sozialleistungen, zu Gemeindebauten, zum Arbeitsmarkt; weg mit dem Ausländerbeschäftigungsgesetz! Wir fordern ein Antidiskriminierungsgesetz mit politischen und strafrechtlichen Sanktionen.

Andere Zugänge, ebenfalls von Ungleichheit betroffen, haben sich angeschlossen: Frauengruppen, Sozialinitiativen, die Steuerinitiative im ÖGB, die Botschaft der besorgten BürgerInnen... Sie bringen ihre Forderungen ein: Frauenrechte, soziale Grundsicherung, Steuergerechtigkeit...

Wir wollen eine Verfassungsreform, einen grundlegenden Neubeginn. Es muss anders werden. Die Menschenrechte müssen wieder gelten in diesem Land!

All men are equal.

650.000 people who are living and working in Austria, paying taxes and contributing to the wealth of this country, are deprieved of almost all their political and social rights - because they are neither Austrian nor EU citizens. Especially, they are lacking the most important right of every democracy: the right to participate in elections.

Asyl in Not, SOS-Mitmensch and many others are therefor demanding a reform of the federal constitution. Article 7 (now only mentioning the equality of citizens) should be changed to "All people living in Austria are equal in front of the law".

We demand the free and equal right to vote - from the local to the national level - for everybody in this country. We demand an end to the pratise of "Schubhaft" (putting "illegal immigrants" to jail). We demand access to social services, to social housing, to the labor market, we demand an end to the law on the employment of foreign labor! We demand an anti-discrimination law with political and legal consequences.

Other groups concerned by inequality have joined in: womens' groups, social initiatives, the tax initiative of the trade union, the Embassy of Concerned Citizens.

We demand a reform of the constitution, a totally new aproach. Human Rights have to have a say again in this country!

650.000 persone che vivono ed lavorano in Austria, che ci pagono le tassi e hanno contribuito a creare il benessere del paese sono privati di quasi tutti i loro diritti politici e sociali - perchè non sono cittadidini Austriaci o dell'U.E. Sopratutto, gli manca il diritto più importante nella democrazia: il diritto al voto.

Asyl in Not, SOS-Mitmensch e molti altri sostengono una riforma della costituzione. L'articolo 7 (che adesso s riferisce soltanto ai cittaddini Austriaci) dovrebbe essere: "Tutti gli uomini che abitano in Austria sono uguali in confronto al diritto".

Vogliamo il diritto liberoi ed uguale al voto su tutti i livelli per tutti gli uomini in questo paese. Vogliamo l'abolizione della "Schubhaft" (pigione per migrati "illegali")! Vogliamo l'accesso alla previdenza sociale, al mercato de lavoro, ecc.!
Vogliamo l'abolizione della legge per l'occupazione degli stranieri.
Voglimo una legge di anti-discriminazione con consequenze politici e legali.

Altri gruppi che sono vittimi della discriminazione ci sostengono: gruppi delle donne, iniziative sociali, l'Ambasciata di cittaddini preoccupati e cittaddine preoccupate ecc.
Domandono diritti delle donne, diritti sociali, ugualianza nel sistema delle tasse...

Vogliamo una riforma della costituzione per fare valere i diritti umani in questo paese.
